Munich, July 6th 2020. AutoScout24, the largest pan-European online car market, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in LeasingMarkt.de, Germany’s leading online platform for vehicle leasing.
The combination of AutoScout24 and LeasingMarkt.de will create a comprehensive online marketplace for mobility solutions. Consumers will get access to a broad range of vehicles offerings with multiple ownership options. Dealers will be able to advertise online a broader range of products to consumers and small and medium-sized businesses.
This transaction highlights AutoScout24’s commitment to strengthen its product portfolio and its offering in leasing. AutoScout24 has been offering its dealers the possibility of advertising leasing rates since the beginning of 2020. The acquisition of LeasingMarkt.de will accelerate the roll-out of this leasing offering, and help dealers capitalize on the growth in the leasing segment at a time where consumers are increasingly looking for flexible forms of vehicle ownership. In the coming months, the two companies will work together on combining their offerings to offer a seemless experience to users as well as dealers.
