Vehicle Description
One of British sports cars of the 1950s and 1960s is the Austin-Healey 3000 – nicknamed the 'Big Healey' because of its large three-liter straight-six engines. The 3000 series remained visually unchanged compared to the previous Healeys, but had better performance and were more luxurious. The 3000 MKII BT7 has four seats and has 3 instead of 2 carburetors on the engine for even better performance. The majority of BT7s were exported from to North America.
This is one of only 5,096 produced from the MKII BT7 series, also called BT7 tri carb because of the 3 carburetors. This car was delivered new in Canada in 1961 and after a life in Canada it was brought back to Europe to be professionally restored to the original specifications. The restoration was completed in 2022. Since then, the car has been driven approximately 1,000 km without any problems. The car is as good as new; bodywork, sheet metal, paint and interior are in very good condition. The car has a matching engine number and matching original paint and interior color. The car comes with screens for the doors, a soft and original hardtop and a spare wheel and is equipped with a stainless steel exhaust, wire wheels and leather seat covers.
A photo report of the restoration and a heritage certificate comes with the car.
The car has a Dutch registration and can be seen in The Netherlands.
This concerns a private sale. The car is sold without warranty, the mileage is read from the speedometer and the car is sold in the condition as it is and where it is now.
