Das M3 Cabrio wurde am 30.04.1997 bei BMW Block am Ring in Braunschweig ausgeliefert und wurde vom Erstbesitzer lediglich bis zum 13.11.2003 gefahren. Bis zur Stilllegung hatte das Fahrzeug ca. 23.000 km auf dem Tacho. Das Serviceheft hatte zu diesem Zeitpunkt 3 Wartungseinträge (zuletzt am 14.08.2003 bei 22.737 km), was die geringe Laufleistung sehr gut belegt.
Der Erstbesitzer behielt den BMW weitere 6 Jahre, bis er ihn im März 2009 an seinen heutigen Eigentümer veräußerte. Für diesen war der M3 wichtiger Bestandteil seiner umfassenden BMW- Sammlung.
Nach einigen Jahren Standzeit wurde der M3 nun wieder zum Leben erweckt. Es wurde eine Wartung durchgeführt, das Motor- und Hinterachsgetriebeöl sowie die Bremsflüssigkeit gewechselt.
Das M3 Cabrio ist unfall- und nachlackierungsfrei. Die komplette Boardmappe mit Serviceheft und das Boardwerkzeug sind vorhanden. Ein Windschott gehört ebenfalls zum Lieferumfang.
