Vehicle Description
Model History
Ferrari takes the “GTO” name quite seriously. Which is why to date, only three cars made have the name, the last being the 599 GTO. It stands for Gran Turismo Omologato. While (unlike its two predecessors) the 599 GTO wasn’t made for the purpose of homologation for a racing series, it was in fact a street-legal version of the track-only Ferrari 599XX. Despite being street-legal, the 599 GTO maintains much of the XX’s track-readiness.
The 599 GTO came with 671bhp on tap and weighed almost 100kg less than the standard 599 GTB, a combination that delivered a 0-100km/h time of less than 3.3 seconds and a top speed in excess of 335km/h. The 599 GTO was the fastest road-going Ferrari at the time of its introduction, proving capable of lapping the Italian firm’s Fiorano test track almost a second quicker than the mid-engined Enzo.
The increase in engine output – some 59 horsepower more than the 599 GTB – had been achieved in part by reducing the engine’s internal friction, plus an increase in compression ratio and redesigned intake and exhaust arrangements.
This example
This car was originally delivered in The Netherlands in 2010. Around that time the 599 GTO also received its Ferrari Classiche certification. Just had a fresh service and new tires at the official dealer. Presented in outstanding condition and having covered only 25.000 kilometers from new, the car is finished in Rosso Corsa with a Nero interior. The car is equipped with many interesting options such as carbon racing seats and to stop in time, this car has carbon ceramic brakes. Full Ferrari dealer service history and in impeccable condition.
This brutal Ferrari is just tame enough to be road legal.. Will you be the one to race this car again soon?
Priced competitively at 775.000,- Euro.
