Vehicle Description
Jaguar Mark VII sedan 1951 , Black plate Californian MK 7
We bought this car from the grandson of the late longtime owner .
This Mark VII is probably the oldest existing Mark VII with build number 90.
– Date of manufacture 16 May 1951
– Date of dispatch June 1951
– Original distributor Hornburg ,Los Angeles USA
– Originally Lavender Grey over Suede Green
– Now Black over Suede Green
– Manual transmission
– Sliding roof
– Matching numbers engine block
This Mark 7 sedan is in a unbelievable good condition. We have had several big cats but never in this condition and of this quality. We didn’t find any signs of rust or damages on chassis or body.
This survivor was restored around 1980. A new interior in the correct colour was installed and the car got a repaint in the current black shade. After 40 years the paint shows its age but overall the car is very presentable with excellent chrome, clean engine bay, nice trunk with jack and tools and a complete set of tools in both front doors.
The car is recently extensive serviced by our oldtimer specialist. The BIG CAT comes with a jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, a binder with receipts and a Dutch registration.
E-Type & Sports Cars is centrally located in the Netherlands in Soest. Near by Amsterdam and Utrecht. You are very welcome to visit us. Please note that we are open by appointment only. Please let us know in advance when you would like to visit us.
