Vehicle Description
A well-maintained, high-quality X300 is becoming rarer and rarer.
Originally, the XJ6 was delivered new in Belgium. Considering the condition of this classic, we brought it to the Netherlands two years ago to further refine it—and that effort has been successful! A valued client then enjoyed two consecutive years with the XJ, after which it was traded in for a Daimler Century from our collection. It’s wonderful to see a classic return in this way; the history is known, and the foundation is strong. Over the past two years, a lot of work has been done to this Jaguar. The air conditioning has been addressed, two new front tires have been installed, and a beautiful, classic-looking Becker radio has been added, providing Bluetooth hands-free and music streaming. If desired, this Becker can be swapped for an original Jaguar radio at no extra cost.
Recently, upon arrival, we carried out a major service, and the invoice is of course available. The Jaguar has also been professionally polished, and all standard points of attention have been carefully reviewed.
This XJ6, in the stunning Sapphire Blue Metallic, truly has it all: a beautifully maintained interior and exterior, a chassis in top condition, and everything radiates quality. No unusual damage, no parking dings, no dull paint. This speaks volumes about how this Jaguar has been driven and cherished over the years. Without a doubt, it’s a worthy investment.
The XJ features a rare color for an X300: Sapphire Blue Metallic. The interior is finished in gorgeous Cream leather, which remains in excellent condition. Naturally, there’s an abundance of walnut wood trim, which looks stunning and is in superb condition.
However, time tends to leave its mark above your head, on the headliner. Sooner or later, whether driven a lot or not, the adhesive starts to give way. To preserve the car’s condition, we professionally renovated this, and it now looks fantastic—ready for the next 10 years.
The engine is the reliable 3239cc inline-six, which can easily handle high mileages without issue. Recently, we had a major service carried out by our technical partners. No corners were cut.
During the service, it was again noted that the underside of the XJ is in excellent condition, showing almost no rust—truly unique. The footwells are solid, and the rear subframe is in great shape. Naturally, we have photos available to document this. There’s also no rust visible at the lower corners of the rear window, and the wheel arches look tight and original. Not surprising; the XJ6 has had a Dinitrol treatment in the past, ensuring that rust will remain limited in the future.
The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and the suspension feels solid. A “whining” differential is a known issue with X300 Jaguars and Daimlers, but the differential in this Jaguar is, of course, silent—completely inaudible. Cruise control and the onboard computer work as they should, just like all other functions in this XJ.
The chrome work on both bumpers, which is becoming increasingly rare, is also in top condition. The original Jaguar Dimple wheels are in near-new condition as they’ve been re-coated, and the XJ6 is equipped with four neat tires with plenty of tread. The previous owner had a set of clear headlights from the X308 model installed, which provides better light output and gives the front end a fresh, modern look. Of course, if desired, this can be returned to its original state upon request.
The X300 is often regarded as Jaguar’s most reliable XJ. Due to its relatively short production period, the model is becoming increasingly rare; finding a good example is getting harder and harder.
The XJ6 will be delivered with a nearly new MOT, valid until November 2025. The service book is included, fully completed with a detailed maintenance record. Our most recent invoices are also available, both in paper and digital form. The key set consists of two keys and one working remote control.
