Vehicle Description
The X100 XKR in its ultimate form: Cabriolet, 4.2 V8, Recaros, 20-inch Detroit wheels, and dressed in the most attractive color combination.
What a pleasure it is to drive this XKR! The classic lines of the original XK8, paired with the smooth-shifting six-speed gearbox and the supercharged 4.2 V8. With nearly 400 horsepower, this proven powertrain brings the road to life, accompanied by the delightful rumble of the V8 engine. Smooth, incredibly fast, and yet wonderfully comfortable. A true Grand Tourer!
Midnight Black Mica, Champagne leather, nearly a square meter of genuine wood veneer, a wooden steering wheel, and 20-inch Detroit wheels. All of this, combined with stunning xenon headlights, makes the XKR highly desirable. The original Recaro sport seats are rare and beautiful to behold, not to mention they hug your body far better than the standard seats. You might expect the ride to be firm, but the opposite is true. One of the most interesting options, in my opinion!
No expenses have been spared on maintenance and cosmetic work – it’s obvious. It’s the maintenance that counts. What is often overlooked is that the Jaguars and Daimlers from the ’90s and ’00s have now become true classics. This means you need to be meticulous when searching for a well-kept example. The same goes for us. Despite its striking appearance, a lot of issues can be hidden under the surface – rust and deferred maintenance are commonplace.
Take this XKR, for instance. No unusual damage, a clean underside and chassis, no deferred maintenance. A few years ago, the previous owner purchased this car from a renowned Jaguar specialist, where maintenance has consistently been carried out. In addition to regular service, many components specific to this model line have been addressed. For example, the hydraulic lines for the roof system were replaced some time ago.
A beautiful car to behold. It’s clear that the XKR has mostly been kept indoors; the window trims are still pristine, without corrosion. The convertible top looks nearly new and functions flawlessly. More importantly, the underside and body are free from rust – something you rarely find in this model nowadays. This body has been well-preserved, and the interior is equally well-maintained, with even the woodwork polished to perfection. A classic in this condition is truly worth it, and any enthusiast will appreciate that!
Step into the Jag and experience the most beautiful dashboard from the ’90s and ’00s. The interior is finished in Champagne leather, with an abundance of walnut wood accents, even adorning the steering wheel. The seat, the steering wheel… it feels as though time has stood still. It’s clear that this is a well-preserved example. An important detail: the 4.2 V8 is the first AJV8 engine that no longer uses plastic chain tensioners and guides, so there’s no need to worry about that – the modification is no longer relevant.
You can tell in every detail that this Jaguar is in top condition. It’s the small things that stand out. The Jaguar steers razor-sharp, with no play in any of the suspension components. The six-speed gearbox shifts smoothly and almost imperceptibly, and the engine runs beautifully, just as it should.
Even the original cover for the convertible top is present, of course, also in Champagne. An original wind deflector is included with the car, though it is not visible in the photos.
Are there any downsides, you might wonder? Honestly, I can’t think of any. If I were to mention something, the tires are still in good condition but do make some road noise. It’s no issue, but worth noting. Is that it? Yes, that’s it. Compare that to the average offering, and you’ll be amazed.
The key set consists of 2 keys with remote controls. The maintenance history is available in the form of a detailed invoice overview from the relevant specialist. The owner’s manual, radio code, and additional documents are all included in the board folder. Naturally, we’ve carried out a maintenance service so the XK is completely ready for its new owner. We’ve also addressed the window trims, as many XK models suffer from loose fabric that makes them look worn. Not this example – we’ve fitted fresh, new upholstery.
There’s so much more to say about this Jaguar, but you’ll only get the full picture when you see and drive the car yourself. You are warmly welcome in Uden, and the coffee is ready.
