Vehicle Description
For sale Messerschmitt KR200, partially restored by a professional. Bought from first owner in 1987.
Messerschmitt KR 200, 1960
In 1992 the car was imported to the Netherlands. The car has been kept in a garage since this time and has not been on the road frequently. Recently a micro-car restauration specialist came to revive the Messerschmitt and was amazed how well the engine is still running, please see the video: https://youtu.be/f8XL_gGrpuM
These were his findings for repairs: front exhaust pipe + gasket, floor needs welding, rear suspension is ok , but tired, window wiper needs new wire, petrol tap is wrong
I wish to sell the car, since I hope to provide the funds for my son to pay for his college education. He has entered his third year in college in the audio-visual department.
History:
The Messerschmitt has been family owned since 1989. My father bought the micro-car in 1989 in Axminster, UK from Ms Helen Thompson the daughter of the first owner.
Together with a professional ´micro car restorer´ my father embarked on restoring the Messerschmitt.
I inherited the car from my father in 1991. In 1992 the Messerschmitt was imported the Netherlands. In 1997 the ´bubblecar´ was professionally taxed through the Dwarf car club (in the Netherlands. These were the findings of the report.
