Vehicle Description
Porsche 911 2.0 SWB sold new in California in April 1967 and registered in Spain in 2003 with a historic license plate. Unit with manual gearbox and 98,946 miles (159,238km) on the odometer.
Sand Beige body color (code 6607) with black interior, a very attractive combination, which reminds us of the 911 2.0 in the same color that Porsche used in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 911 in 2013. That unit taken from the museum and from the same year 1967, traveled through some of the most important cities in the world to participate in various events (Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles...).
Being a 67 model, it is a unit with a short body or SWB (Short Wheel Base) and with the numbers of the clocks in green. Both details are highly appreciated by lovers of the first 911s.
This unit we are selling came off the production line in Stuttgart during Christmas 1966 and was sold new in California in April 1967, specifically at the Carl R. Carlsen Inc dealership in the city of San Francisco. According to the documentation that accompanies the vehicle, this 911 was in California all the time until it was moved to Spain, so it has always been in areas with very good weather.
The vehicle is delivered with the Porsche Certificate (PCOA), which certifies that the vehicle is fully Matching Numbers (chassis + engine + gearbox).
Among the various attractions of this unit, we highlight its extras. At that time, when some extras were requested, there were one or two, but this unit was requested with a more extensive list. Among them, the wooden steering wheel or the chrome rims stand out.
The vehicle is accompanied by the original maintenance and user books, as well as original documents from the period. Undoubtedly, something unusual in such old vehicles. There is a very extensive invoice file from the last owner who had it in the United States and also large invoices from the Porsche Center once the car was already in Spain. In total, more than €18,000 has been spent on the car in the last 6,500 km.
Only 3,421 units manufactured that year.
