Vehicle Description
Spectacular Reliant Scimitar GTE 3,0 automatic with full Webasto folding roof and the reliable Ford Essex V6 motor - has had a complete engine overhaul and is upgraded to RS 3,1 stage 4 specifications - 3098 cc indoor the usual 2980 cc
Very rare British classic - one of the first shooting brake GTE´s - and even more rare in this condition. Probably one of the best out there.
The car was completely renovated in 2021 including a fully professional coating and paint in “Jaguar Caviar Red”. Has only been driven on summer days and is stored in a a ventilated garage.
There is lots of paperwork to document the cars history from back in 1979 - service books and mechanical bills and not least full documentation, pictures included, of the complete renovation during 2021.
Excellent, and beautiful GTE, drives like a dream and engine sound amazing. Powerful and solid.
3.0 Ford Essex V6 engine - upgraded to RS 3,1
BorgWarner automatic transmission
Wolfrace alloys
Webasto folding roof
Power steering
Electric windows
Central lock
Adjustable suspension
Fibreglass body - no cracks, no nothing
Absolutely no corrosion/ rust
Anti rust protection and newly painted
Chassis frame with anti rust protection
Stainless steel fuel tank
New double Weber carb
Spare parts are easily provided from the UK - several dealers with a complete spare part catalogue. And engine is Ford which means it is easy to handle for any old school mechanics
Interior is nice and original from 1979 - normal wear and tear is to be expected
The car is mechanically solid and drives smoothly and is really beautiful in the newly painted Jaguar Caviar Red colour.
Engine, brakes, calibres, the auto transmission, shock absorbers etc was of course also renovated in 21 when the Scimitar had a complete overhaul but the car is 45 years old so bits and bops must be expected - but overall probably one of the nicest examples available.

Car is in Copenhagen, Denmark (not the Netherlands - but Denmark is for some reason not an option when registering on Autoscout)
