Vehicle Description
One of the ultimate British roadsters must be Triumph's TR3. It has the right looks, is fun to drive and sets the mark for open top touring for over seventy years. More difficult will it be to find the right example. This Primrose Yellow is turn-key ready for any event or trip. It only had two owners in the last 29 years and has proven itself during high-end European classic car rallies, including the Nuvolari.
No stone was left unturned while building this car, following the highest standards in the industry. After importing this TR3 into the Netherlands in 1995 the car was being restored between 1997 and 2001 by Hans Kooij - who's known for setting the benchmark in Triumph restorations. This was another of his nut & bolt projects. Inside and out, this car still looks like new.
This car was prepared with historic rallying in mind. This means that the car is as reliable as it is quick. The two-liter is matched to a four-speed gearbox with electronic overdrive. It drives the rear wheels with the help of a limited slip diff and is easy to control at any given speed by using an electronic power system. Michelin XVS tires offer grip in both dry and wet. A fold-down roof, side windows and tonneau cover provide the necessary protection for driving in European weather conditions. Twisty backcountry roads and long distance traveling, this TR3 likes doing it all.
Please call. We know this car like the back of our hand, as it is part of our Collection Management services for a long-term client.
